Abstract Submission Key Dates

• February 09, 2015 : Abstract Submission Open
• May 25, 2015 : Extended Abstract submission closes - final deadline
• May 31, 2015 : Author notification starts

General Information

• Abstracts can only be submitted online via the website submission system.
• Abstracts sent by post or email will not be accepted.
• Please contact the SWC 2015 Secretariat(abstract@swc2015.org) if you have any problems with your submission.
• All submitted abstracts must represent original work.
• Authors can choice to present their papers in oral or poster sessions.
• Each user/author is limited to two (2) abstracts as no more than 2 papers per registered participants can be published in the proceedings.
• Deadline for submission of full papers is October 01 2015.
• Authors of accepted papers must carry out online registration by September 15, 2015 to be included in the program and for their full papers(optional) to be reviewed and published in the proceedings. Each paper must have at least one author registered with the standard rate.

Format of abstracts

• All abstracts and papers must be submitted in English.
• Abstracts must not exceed 2,000 words in total (excluding abstract title).

• Uploaded abstract must be anonymous (Do not give authors names or affiliation) and unprotected pdf-file up to 2 pages.
• Non-standard abbreviations must be written in full when first used.
• Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors.
• No proof reading will be done, although some corrections may be requested by the reviewers.
• Note: Failure to observe these guidelines may result in rejection.

Guidelines to submit an abstract

• 1. Log on SWC 2015 website with ID and PW.
• 2. Fill out the authors. information (including a corresponding author and presenter and Co-author).
• 3. Fill out the following abstract details.
  • Abstract Info: Please select the presentation preference and topic preference.
  • Authors: Please enter all authors. information.
  • Abstract
    * Title : It should be written in CAPITAL letters, Arial 14 point.
    * Body : Body text should be justified as block (SWC_Text), 10 pt, in single column format.
• 4. Check that all the detail on the summary page are correct. If there is any fault, click on the Button, 'modify'
• 5. You will be sent a confrimation email with your submission reference number and In your My page you can also check your abstract status.

Review Process and Publication

• Abstracts will be reviewed by a least three (3) designated theme Scientific Committee members. The reviewers will not have access to submitting author or co-authors’ details (blind-review) and will therefore not know the origins of the abstract to promote impartiality.
• Authors will start to receive notification via e-mail regarding acceptance of abstracts on May 31, 2015.
• Acceptance of papers for oral or poster presentation will be based on submitted abstracts. All full papers will be peer-reviewed for publication in the proceedings, which will be published ISES in a publicly accessible and searchable online database. All papers accepted for publication by ISES will be assigned an individual DOI and be published by ISES under the title “ISES Solar World Congress 2015 Proceedings”.
• Authors submitting abstracts for posters should be aware that there will be formal poster sessions at the Congress. During these sessions authors will be asked to present a 2-minute summary of their poster, stand by their poster to respond to individual questions and comments by the session attendees.
• A selection of highest quality papers from each theme will be submitted to Solar Energy, the official ISES scientific journal. All papers submitted to the Solar Energy journal will undergo a rigorous review process. All paper which progress to publication will include a footnote alerting readers that this paper was originally presented at the ISES Solar World Congress 2015.
• By submitting an abstract, the authors understand that, if selected, one or more of the authors will personally present the paper or poster at the Congress and that such authors must register and pay the registration fee by 15 September 2015. Failure to do so will result in exclusion from the final Congress program. Only full papers of authors who attend the Congress will be reviewed and published in the final proceedings, or considered for publication in Solar Energy.
• Authors should be aware that accepted papers and posters may be organized in various ways during the Congress.

Modification and withdrawal of submitted abstract(s)

• Before the deadline (Abstract submission close: May 25, 2015), you can review or modify your abstract at 'My page' on the website with your own account.
• Please note that no corrections are possible after the submission deadline.
• If you need to withdraw your abstract, a written statement reflecting the reasons for decision must be sent to SWC 2015 Secretariat (info@swc2015.org).

Please note the following

• Accepted presenter must register for SWC2015 via online registration
  (Online registration open: April 30, 2015).
